“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.” John 1:5
As we light our Advent candles in church and at home, five evergreens on the church lawn will also be lit in purple, pink, and white lights reminding all who pass by of the Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love that guides our lives and fills our hearts
as we await the coming of our Lord, Jesus!

In these unexpected, uncertain, unusual times, we find solace in what will not change, the peace of Christ and the friendship of one another! After a busy or boring day, we will gather together to reflect on the gifts of Advent. Please join Pastor Laura (in-person or via Zoom) Tuesday evenings at 7:00 for a brief time of Advent reflection and prayer.

Monday December 7th – 7:00pm Blue Christmas Service (in-person and via Zoom)
Especially this year, as we continue to struggle through the stress and loneliness of the pandemic, “merry and bright” may seem particularly elusive! Whether mourning a loss, worried about finances, facing health issues, missing family, or just plain stressed, we find our strength in the truth that there is a Light in our darkness! We will gather together either in-person or via Zoom, for a time of quiet reflection, prayer, and music; gifts of the season, wrapped in the healing love of the One who came down to be hope for the world.

Live Nativity and Sanctuary Walk-through
                                              Celebrating the Birth of Jesus
O come let us adore him!
On that holy night, so long, angels told unsuspecting shepherds,
“Do not be afraid! I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today a Savior has been born to you!
You will find him wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger!”
You are invited to our first “live nativity” where, under bright stars of wonder, we join Mary and Joseph, angels, shepherds and sheep, in welcoming our newborn king!
Then, follow the luminary lit path up the drive and enter the church sanctuary where you will have an opportunity to take in the sights, smells, and sounds of Advent and Christmas soon to come. The sanctuary will be in full Christmas dress—tree, lights, greens, poinsettias, candles, and Christmas carols playing. Soak in the wonder for a few moments before beginning your journey home.

Tuesday December 22nd –     7:00 Advent Evening Prayer
